Norman Dewis Collection Sells Well at Auction

Ian Cooling reports that the collection of Norman Dewis performed unexpectedly well in his Spring auction last month.

Bids were received from a wide range of people across the world. Many were people who had worked with Norman or met him as he travelled the world in his retirement role as a Jaguar brand ambassador. All this respect and affection undoubtedly fed into the bids that came through, sending some of them two or even three times over top estimate.

Bo’ness Revival 2019 Report

Following swiftly on from the opening of the new Jim Clark Museum, Bo’ness Revival Hillclimb was held over the weekend of 31st August to 1st September 2019.

For 2019, the Bo’ness Revival committee produced a glossy A4 format brochure amounting to almost 80 pages. In addition to the usual credits, class entries, participating clubs etc, were extensive features on the history of hillclimbing and Bo’ness, Kinneil House Estate (which hosts the hillclimb) and Jim Clark. Xclusively Jaguar was one of the sponsors of the event and hence was given a full page advert in the Official Programme.

Jim Clark Museum

On Thursday 29th August 2019 the newly refurbished and updated Jim Clark Museum was officially opened by Sir Jackie Stewart OBE. We (Rob Jenner and Letitia Mace) were among the limited number of very privileged guests invited to preview the museum with Sir Jackie Stewart OBE and we were very fortunate to be personally introduced to this racing legend by Tom Purves, former CEO of Rolls Royce.

West Sussex Presentation

We (Rob Jenner and Letitia Mace) were once more very kindly invited to give presentations to members of the West Sussex JEC Region at Tottington Manor on the evening of 21st August 2019.
After treating us both to an excellent dinner at The Old Tollgate, Bramber, we drove to Tottington Manor where this region hold their monthly meetings, and around 40 members were waiting for our arrival.
